Appearance
Body length 17 cm, wing 10 cm; weight 40-60 g. The coloring is very beautiful, with intense green tones, the back of the back with a blue tint. The throat and cheeks are pink, the forehead is bright red, the beak is straw-yellow. The middle tail feathers are green, the lateral ones are red with wide black stripes and narrow green ones in the end part, the tail tail feathers are bright blue. Young chicks have brown-black beaks with a bright tip. The color is missing red. Females are slightly larger than males , less brightly colored.

It inhabits Angola , Namibia and South Africa.
Lifestyle
They inhabit dry areas, but always keep places with water sources. They live in packs, and during nesting they break up into pairs and occupy a hollow or nest of sparrows or weavers under the nest of a hollow or a nest. They nest in human dwellings - in the walls of huts and under the roofs of houses.
Reproduction
The female suits the nest. She also carries nesting material, stuffing it into feathers nadhvostiya.
