Geography
Verkhnetemernitsky from the north adjoins the Northern housing estate of Rostov-on-Don, with which the village is connected by one street. To the west of the village is the main cemetery of Rostov - Severnoye , separated from the Verkhnetemernitsky field (653 m). To the east of the village extends a huge array of horticultural plots. To the north is the Schepkinsky forest . 0.7 km south-east of the village, the Balka Temernik River flows. [2] The village is located at an altitude of 80 m above sea level. [3]

History
It was isolated in a separate settlement in 2008 [5] from the village of Schepkin . The name is given along the Balka Temernik River , flowing 0.7 km southeast of the village.

Verkhnetemernitsky is a suburb. There is no school or clinic in it. The villagers study, receive medical care, and many work in Rostov-on-Don.
In the southwestern part of the village, construction of the NORD microdistrict has begun. The project provides for the construction of sixteen residential multi-apartment buildings with a total area of 250,000 m² of housing in which more than 4,000 families can live, as well as two kindergartens, a school, a church, NORD shopping and entertainment complex with a cinema, fitness center and swimming pool, a sports area including tennis courts and a football field, and three multi-level parking lots.
