The Taganrog Pioneer House is a center for extracurricular activities in Taganrog that existed before 1991 .
History
The pioneer organization in Taganrog was created on April 9, 1923 , when a meeting of the “Young Spartak” children's groups was held in the building of the Taganrog Labor School [1] .
The Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren was inaugurated in Taganrog on January 24, 1936 and became the first Palace of Pioneers in the Azov-Black Sea Territory [2] and the fourth in the USSR [1] . Director - M.A. Podolsky. Before the German occupation of the city on October 17, 1941, the Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren occupied the building of the former city council ( 87 Petrovskaya St. ) [2] , where there were excellent conditions for versatile work with teenagers. All the industrial enterprises of the city participated in equipping the Palace. The chefs helped create mirror choreographic classes , workshops with carpentry and lathes, radio mugs, and junior mugs. Under the guidance of teachers in 17 sections, schoolchildren were engaged in the latest types of technical creativity: they collected radio sets, electromechanical televisions, created aircraft models, studied marine affairs, made furniture [1] . Taganrog youngsters bred a frost-resistant wheat variety , marked with the VDNH medal [1] .
Since 1936, a children's brass band was organized at the Palace of Pioneers [3] .
After the liberation of Taganrog from the invaders, the Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren opened on December 3, 1943 under the name "House of Pioneers" in the premises of the Teacher’s House at ul. Petrovskaya, 89 [2] . In February 1944, the House of Pioneers was transferred to the building of the Children's Music School. P. I. Tchaikovsky ( ul. Grecheskaya, 50 ) [2] .
Until 1947, in a two-story mansion on the street. Sverdlov 60 was located Dimitrov Plant Club [4] . From 1947 to 1949, the musical comedy theater was located in this building [4] . After its disbandment, in the winter of 1949, the building was transferred to the city Pioneer House by the decision of the city executive committee [4] .
In 1957, a music studio began working at the House of Pioneers; a children's musical theater "Fairy Tale" was created [3] .
In 1968, 25 studios and circles worked in the House of Pioneers, in which about 500 children were engaged [5] . In addition to radio and photo circles, dramatic, choreographic, musical, there was a local history circle [5] .
Since 1988, the House of Pioneers worked in the building on the street. Petrovsky, 72 [2] . In 1999, the Taganrog Pioneer House was transformed into an institution of continuing education for children, the Out-of-School Work Center (CVR) [1] . Director - T. V. Yanchenko [2] .
