Biography

After graduating from high school, he studied at a vocational school, then - at an industrial technical school in Novosibirsk . In 1951 he was drafted into the army. He graduated from the Tomsk anti-aircraft artillery school

He served in various officer positions. In 1964 he graduated from the Military-Political Academy. IN AND. Lenin .

He was transferred to the reserve in 1982 from the post of head of the political department - deputy for the educational work of the Pushkin Higher Order of the Red Star of the School of Radio Electronics of Air Defense named after Air Marshal E. Ya. Savitsky. Guard Colonel Retired.

After being transferred to the reserve from 1990 to 2001, he worked at the Committee for Education of the Kingisepp District of the Leningrad Region , and at the same time taught history in high school.

Member of the Russian Interregional Writers Union.

Died in 2006

Gennady Bobenko was published in the magazines “ History of St. Petersburg ”, “Bulletin of the Academy of Military Historical Sciences”, the author of several articles in the Kingisepp city press.

He studied the Napoleonic wars , biographies of Russian military leaders, especially M. Miloradovich and K. Bystrom .
