Beesoniidae (lat.) - a family of worms of the suborder Sternorrhyncha . 16 species. Antennae reduced, 5 or less segments in them. Species of the Old World feed on plants from the Ditterocarpaceae family (genera Shorea and Dipterocarpus ) and on representatives of the Beech family (on species of the genus Oak , Quercus ). All species of the New World are found on palm leaves [2] .

Distribution
The largest number of species is represented in South Asia . Oriental region (11 species), Neotropics (4 species), Australia (1 species - Beesonia ferrugineus ), Palearctic (1 species - Beesonia napiformis ). 1 species was introduced into Europe - Limacoccus brasiliensis ( Italy ) [2] .
