About the album
We Are Motörhead is the first studio album released by the group after breaking up with Howard Banson . Three producers worked on the album at once, and the group itself was engaged in producing the album (as well as the previous studio album Snake Bite Love ). From June to August 1999, the album was recorded at Karo Studios , in Brackel , Germany, and later, from December 1999 to March 2000, at the American Recorders studio , Calabasas , USA.
The song "God Save the Queen", a cover of one of the most famous songs of the punk rock band Sex Pistols , was released by the single on July 18, 2000. Some editions of the single include Motörhead's video clip for God Save the Queen, in which they perform a song while riding around London on a tourist bus. The single also released the title track of the album.
