Loconte, Michelangelo

Michelangelo Loconte was born in the city of Cherignola ( Italy ) on December 5, 1973 . Real name is Michele Loconte . At school, he was constantly called Michelangelo for his passion for painting , sculpture , and poetry . This name has become his pseudonym.

His parents are teachers - Jeremiah and Ripalta (Titti) Loconte. Michele has a younger brother, Pietro (born July 27, 1982 ) and an older sister, Angela (born April 4, 1972 ), who are also artists.

Since childhood, Michele has been involved in television programs and plays the main roles on the stage.

In his hometown, he received a bachelor 's degree in applied arts with an additional specialization in architecture and furniture design. Received a master 's degree in art. He graduated from the course of the Faculty of "Science of Communications" in Perugia, specializing in "science and technology of advertising."

At 21, fate brings him to Rita Pavone. Thanks to their joint activities, Michelangelo Loconte wins the first national prize of the festival of the Unknown (an analogue of the young talent competition) broadcast by RAI2 for the performance of "Aria". Tied to his home country and his beloved public, Michele often appears on Italian television screens and participates in the Castrocaro festival.

For 10 years he has been working with the rock band " Art Decade " ( 1988 - 1999 ), and for three years with the band "Tasti Neri", and then with the German group "Unix".

Several projects open up a new stage of his work, including close collaboration as a composer with the famous Maurizio Piccoli ( Italian: Maurizio Piccoli ), Luna ( Italian: Loredana Berté ), Come si cambia ( Italian: Fiorella Mannoia ).

At the end of 1999 he moved to Liege .

He takes his first steps in France as an actor and performer in the musical Les Nouveaux Nomades by Claude Barzotti and Anne Marie Gaspard . Without knowing a word in French, Michele records all the songs in the studio using phonetic writing . The project was later closed.

In Belgium, producer Alec Mansion offers Michele a job as creative director at La Chapelle Studios in Waimes.

Michele owns several musical instruments (piano, keyboards, guitar, drums), and, thanks to this, becomes the arranger in several singles released in Belgium .

Together with renowned musicians, Michele performed in several European countries , then in Brazil .

In 2006, he performs on stage in Clermont , but not with the band, but secretly . In 2007, she performs at the Montreux Festival .

Michelangelo Lokonte brilliantly played the role of Mozart in the musical created by Dov Attia ( Dove Attia ) and Albert Cohen ( Albert Cohen ) "Mozart l'Opéra Rock".

For the role of Mozart, Michele received 2 NRJ Music awards in 2010 .

In October 2009, the special prize “Prix Pouilles 2009”, was awarded to him as a representative of the people in the artistic field.

In May 2011, she performed for the first time at Restos Du Coeur Belges.

His last performance at Mozart was in Paris , Bercy on July 10, 2011 . After that, Warner Music released the disc, which became a diamond (more than 750,000 copies sold).

May 25, 2012 - the first duet with Gerard Lenormand with the song " Soldats, ne tirez pas ".

Currently recording a solo album. Officially listed by Warner Music Group , however, according to unofficial information, the album will be released by Universal Music Group . ^[one]

In early 2016, Michelangelo was invited to Korea to take part in the musical “Amadeus”, together with Solal , fr: Maeva Méline , Merwan Rome .

Michelangelo participates in charity events such as Futconcert, Everyone Singing Against Cancer, and Parents' House.

Michelangelo Loconte was selected as one of five judges in the jury from France for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 .
