Liana Dragova ( Slovak: Liana Drahová ; April 22, 1953 , Bratislava , Czechoslovakia ) - figure skater from Czechoslovakia , bronze medalist at the 1974 European Championship . In 1968-1969 she performed in pair skating with Pyotr Bartoshevich, later she performed in women's single skating .

Career
Liana Dragova was born in the largest city of Slovakia Bratislava in 1953. She began to practice figure skating at the age of five. Her grandmother worked in the ice palace, and Liana was constantly under the supervision of the ice.
At 13, when she had her first success in singles, Liana was paired up. They successfully performed at international competitions. However, in 1969, a tragedy occurred at the World Cup . During support, Bartoshevich fell, a partner fell on top of him. With a spinal injury, Peter was hospitalized. After that, he had to finish with figure skating.
Dragova again began to perform in solo skating. Immediately from the new season, she became a member of the national team and began to speak at international competitions. Liana Dragova expected that she would be sent to the Olympic Games in Sapporo . However, the sports leadership of Czechoslovakia refused the quota . She continued to compete until the spring of 1975 and decided not to fight for the right to compete at the Olympics next year, although she had every chance of it (Czechoslovakia had two quotas in the women's category ).
Personal life
After that, she began to work as a coach. In the fall of 1975, Liana got married. In 1976, she had a daughter. However, the marriage did not last long, and soon Dragova married again and gave birth to a son. Then she returned to her first husband. However, the marriage never took place. Liana works as a coach in the Austrian Linz .
