Biography
Member of World War II , in 1943 he was drafted into the army, a Red Army infantry unit on the Bryansk Front. In August 1943 he was seriously wounded, in 1944 he was dismissed from the army, disabled war. He graduated from the philological faculty of Moscow State University in 1949, in 1959 he defended his thesis .
It began to be published in 1949, and became widely known for its publications in the journal Young Guard . The article "Enlightened philistinism" (Young Guard, 1968, No. 4) was sharply criticized by high-ranking party ideologists. Author of the biographies of playwright A. N. Ostrovsky and Slavophile S. T. Aksakov and several other books, compiler of the documentary collection "Stalin" (1995).
Member of the Board of the Union of Writers of Russia , member of the Admissions Committee of the Russian joint venture Professor of the Department of Literary Mastery of the Literary Institute named after A.M. Gorky , where he taught from 1963 to 2014. Member of the Communist Party since 1954 [1] [2] [3] .
In 1990, he signed the “ Letter of Seventy-Four .”
He died on December 10, 2016 in Moscow after a long illness.
The funeral service for Mikhail Petrovich Lobanov took place on December 13, 2016 in the church of the Archangel Michael in Troparev. On the same day, he was buried at the Khovansky (Central) cemetery in Moscow (plot number 3) next to his mother Ekaterina Anisimovna Lobanova (11/20/1903 - 01/12/1988).
