IZH Planeta-2 is a middle-class road bike designed for riding in various road conditions. It was produced by the Izhevsk Machine-Building Plant from 1965 to 1971 . A total of 246,486 motorcycles were produced [1] . The warranty provided by the plant is 18 months or 15,000 kilometers.

The motorcycle is equipped with a single-cylinder, two-stroke air-cooled engine. Carter - block type. At the front there is a crank chamber, at the rear there is a gearbox. The sump consists of two halves with a connector in the middle longitudinal plane. The foot switch pedal and kickstarter pedal are located on the left side of the gearbox housing.
