Alfimovo (Torzhok district)

Alfimovo - a village in the Torzhok district of the Tver region . At the beginning of 2008, the population was 177 inhabitants. It belongs to the Sukromlensky rural settlement . Until 2005, it was the center of the Alfimov Rural District.

Located on the Rachaine River , 24 km south of the city of Torzhok . Through the village passes the highway " Sukromlya - High ".

The village stretched into one street along the left bank of Rachaina and has long been divided into four parts. If we take it from the side of Sucromli: the first part of Kuliki, the second part of Dubka, the third part of Seredka, the fourth part - Gorlovo or Gorlovka. In the 1980s, two new streets of collective farm houses emerged. There is a crossing of the old mill dam through Rachaine. Across the river of the village of Rozhnovo and Slonovo , in the direction of Zagorye - the village of Lepeshkino . 500 m in the direction of Andryushino used to be the Alfimov elementary school.

History

It is believed that the village was founded by immigrants from the village of Poddubye . In 1859, in the owner's village of Alfimove, 29 yards, 256 residents [2] . At the same time, halfway to Lepeshkino, the village (manor) Yurkino, belonging to Roznov, was listed. At the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, the village belonged to the Zagorsk parish of the Sukromlinsky volost, Novotorzhsky district, Tver province . In 1884, there were 56 courtyards in the village, 360 inhabitants, a water mill, a pub, a petty shop; Crafts: masons, blacksmiths, oil mills, workers. According to the 1920 census in Alfimovo, the village council of the same name in the Sukromlinsky volost - 95 yards, 507 inhabitants.

In the late 1930s - 1940s, the village was part of the Vasiltsevsky village council of the Vysokovsky district of the Kalinin region .

During the Great Patriotic War, the German fascist troops were stopped in October 1941, 4-5 km south of the village. For two months (end of October-end of December 1941) the village was front-line. In Alfimovo, the mass grave of Soviet soldiers who fell in battles with the Nazis and died from wounds in hospitals in 1941-1944.

In 1997 - 77 households, 209 residents. The central manor of the “Zavety Lenin” collective farm, the administration of the rural district, the post office, the leisure center, the library, the kindergarten, the shop.
