Biography
Born September 28, 1932. He graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1956 .
Since 1956 - Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, in 1961-65. worked at the USSR Embassy in Iraq. In the 1960s – 1970s . - One of the leaders of the Middle East Department of the USSR Foreign Ministry .
Since 1977 - an employee of the Research Institute of Complex Problems of the USSR State Committee on Science and Technology, then - the chief researcher of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) .
Candidate of Law, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor; Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (1994).
Author of works on the latest politics and history, current problems of the countries of the Middle East.
He died in Moscow in 2001.

Criticism
Grigory Trestman (Israel) believes that in the book “100 years of confrontation”, published with the preface by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine recognized by Russia, E. Pyrlin presented the events of the Arab riots of 1929 from the point of view of Amin al-Husseini . So, Pyrlin writes about, in his words, the al-Husseini’s call to the Arabs who came out of the Damascus Gate “to keep order, since“ God is with those who are patient ”, but he does not mention the subsequent Jewish pogrom in the Old City of Jerusalem .
