James Ferraro

Ferraro was born in Rochester and grew up in New York ^{[1] [2]} . Not much is known about his personal life. He traveled, visited many cities and finally settled in Los Angeles , where he wanted to become an actor ^[1] , but began his career as an underground musician and in five years released several dozen albums recorded on audio cassettes and CD-R ^[3] , both under his real name, and under various pseudonyms, as well as in the duets of The Skaters and Lamborghini Crystal ^[4] . His work found support in the avant-garde magazine The Wire : David Keenan in an article published in 2009 placed Ferraro in the center of a musical direction called “hypnagogic pop” ^[5] . The album Last American Hero reissued in 2010 was highly praised on the British website Fact ^[6] .

In 2011, he teamed up with Daniel Lopatin , Laurel Heilo , David Borden and Samuel Godin, whose improvisations came out in a series of experimental records FRKWYS on the label RVNG ^[7] . Another solo work by Ferraro Far Side Virtual was announced as the best recording of 2011 in The Wire magazine ^[8] . In December, it was followed by a free mixtape Inhale C-4 $$$$$ posted on the Internet under the pseudonym Bebetune $ ^[9] . Another Silica Gel mixtape, this time as part of the Bodyguard project, was released in February 2012 ^[10] .
