It originates in the Cascade Mountains , flowing out of Lake Wenatchee. It flows mainly in a southeast direction and flows into the Columbia River north of the city of Wenatchee, at an altitude of 186 m above sea level. It flows through the following settlements: Plains, Leavenworth, Peshastin, Dryden, Kashmir and Monitor. Main tributaries: Chiveiva , Neyson Creek, Peshastin Creek and Ice Creek .
