Hercules (emulator)

Hercules is an IBM mainframe software emulator ( System / 370 , System / 390 , zSeries / System z ) and compatible ( Amdahl ). Hercules runs on personal computers running Linux , Windows , FreeBSD , Solaris , Mac OS X. The emulator code is distributed under open source ( QPL ) conditions. [1] It is similar to the Bochs and QEMU projects in that it emulates only the central processor and a small number of peripheral devices. Hercules became the first emulator of 64-bit z / Architecture mainframes.
