Vindelfjällen ( Swede. Vindelfjällen ) - a conservation area in the north-west of Sweden , in the commune of Sturuman Lena Westerbotten .

The reserve was founded in 1974 to protect the unique mountain landscapes of the limestone plateau with lakes, rivers and hills. The area of the conservation zone is 560 thousand ha. The reserve is dominated by spruce , birch and mixed forests of the north-taiga type. Typical representatives of the fauna: elk , squirrel , wolf , fox , cunyas , as well as reindeer .
