Alexander Young , also known as George Alexander (December 28, 1938 - August 4, 1997) is a Scottish guitarist , session musician . Born in Bridgton , Glasgow , Scotland .

Brother of Malcolm , Angus, and George Young. When the Young family emigrated to Sydney , ( Australia ) in 1963, Alexander decided to stay in Britain because of musical interests. Alexander created and played as the bass player for the London-based Grapefruit band, originally called The Grapefruit. With the three founders of Tony Rivers and the Castaways , with John Perry, Jeff and Pete Sweetteham.
The song, written by Young “I'm A Rebel” ( I am a rebel ), was recorded in 1976 by his brothers, Angus and Malcolm, the founders of AC / DC . The song was never published anywhere, and was subsequently recorded by the German group Accept , on their 1979 album , with the same name . Alex released another single, “Sha-Sha / Universal Party,” titled “Grapefruit,” featuring Jodge Young and Harry Wanda .
From 1995 to 1997, Young worked as a music manager at Proud and Loud Management in Hamburg .
Alexander Young died of lung cancer on August 4, 1997.
