Gameplay
For the first time in the series, Season mode was included in the game. This allows players to select wrestlers, call others from the locker room, form alliances and hire managers.
In Create-A-Superstar mode, users have the ability to choose the character of the wrestler and he or she should be face or heal. This allows you to determine who the hero’s friends are and enemies in career mode.
WWE RAW 2 also allows players to modify WWE wrestlers as they want them to look. In Season mode, changes cannot be made, but wrestlers can change who their wrestler likes or dislikes through various options. Switching between face and heel can be done using options.
The game features several arenas where WWE hosted the show during 2002 and 2003. There are also arenas based on every WWE television show. New types of matches are included in the game: Hell in a Cell, TLC and Royal Rumble matches are available in WWE RAW 2.
Create an Entrance mode allows the player to use their own music tracks that were copied to their Xbox hard drive and Create an Entrance video with the player’s characteristic wrestling techniques.
Season Mode
To successfully complete the season, the player is required to participate for 12 months on the RAW and Smackdown shows, as well as on the Pay-Per-View show, and end the season with a WWE title or a world heavyweight title. For successful seasons, the player receives points that will be visible in the “Hall of Fame” section of the main menu, which can subsequently be used to open clothes and titantrons, which can be used to modify your created character. However, these items can be unlocked during the season using the Sweep feature.
Unlike Smackdown games, WWE RAW 2 does not have any votes or lyrics. The chances of getting a “Title Shot” depend on the successful completion of the actions provided in the “Season” mode, but it mainly depends on the popularity of your character. However, other factors, such as the level of friendliness of the character in relation to other characters, such as sudden attacks, rewards or the use of repeated calls, can also affect the chances.
There are several drawbacks in the Season mode, for example: if a player participates in a title match, the belt can be won through disqualification, this goes against the WWE rules. Another drawback is that if two wrestlers fight for the WWE title or for the world heavyweight title, and someone intervenes, then he can become a champion. In addition, divas can win world titles.
