Murmansk Maritime Station is a maritime station located within the city of Murmansk . The marine station has two berths. One of them is pontoon. At the seaport, a small promenade is equipped. From the station, the ship of the Murmansk Shipping Company “ Klavdiya Elanskaya ” departs, which operates on the passenger sea line along the coast of the Kola Peninsula , connecting the inaccessible settlements of Ostrovnoy , Chapoma , Chavanga and Sosnovka with Murmansk [1] . Attractions
In 2009, the nuclear icebreaker "Lenin" stood at the maritime station Murmansk.
This is the first nuclear-powered icebreaker in the world, which was launched in 1959 , and then went along the routes of the Northern Sea Route . Now it hosts tours.
In 1967, a monument to the dead port workers during the Great Patriotic War was erected in the park near the seaport. It was designed by sculptor G. Glukhikh and architect A. Antonov.
In 2015, work was completed on the improvement of the square. Stands with a photo story of the city at different times are installed.
