History
In April 1920, the newly ordained Bishop of Omsk, Dimitry (Belikov), invited Hieromonk Manuil (Lemeshevsky) to his place as vicar bishop with the title of Tarski. However, the Tara Vicariate was not established [2] .
It was created by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on June 6, 2012 by separation from the Omsk diocese with the inclusion of the newly formed Omsk Metropolis . Then the clergyman of the Omsk diocese, hegumen Savvaty (Zagrebelny) was elected ruling bishop [1] .
