History

In 1972, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the RSFSR, the village of Podkumok of the Konstantinovsky Village Council of the Piedmont Region was renamed Nizhny Podkumsky [3] .

On January 1, 1983, it was the administrative center of the Lower Podkumsky Village Council, subordinate to the Pyatigorsk City Council. The village council consisted of 2 settlements - the villages of Nizhny Podkumsky and Sredny Podkumok [4] .
