History
The village was founded in 1933 [3] .
On March 1, 1966, the village was the center of the Zelenogorsk village council of the Piedmont region. In total, the territory of the village council included 12 settlements: the Alikanovka farm; villages of Belorechensky , Zelenogorsk, Industry , Lunacharsky , Mirny , Branch No. 1 of the Yuzhny state farm , Branch No. 2 of the Yuzhny state farm , Branch No. 3 of the Yuzhny state farm , Podkumok , Beekeeper , Central estate of the Yuzhny state farm [4] .
On January 1, 1983 Zelenogorskiy was listed as part of the Alikonovsky village council (with a center in the village of Alikonovka), subordinate to the Kislovodsk City Council [5] .

Education and Culture
The village is assigned to MKOU secondary school No. 12 of the city of Kislovodsk [8] .
In Zelenogorsk there is a library-branch No. 8 MKUK of the resort town of Kislovodsk “Centralized Library System” [9] .
Religion
In the village there is a temple in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary (created in the 1990s in an adapted room; consecrated May 5, 2000) [10] .
Communication
Due to the difficult terrain, the settlement is outside the coverage area of digital television broadcasting [11] .
