  Judo

The wrestler who won in all the bouts of the group went to the semifinals, where he met with a wrestler from another group, who reached the semifinals according to the results of “consolatory” bouts. In the "consoling" fights, there were those fighters who lost to the group winner: so, the loser wrestler "B" in the first fight, wrestler "A", in the second fight (provided that the wrestler "A" won the second fight) “A”, and if he won, he continued to participate in the tournament until fighter “A” lost, and if fighter “A” reached the semifinal, then fighter “B” also reached the semifinal. Thus, the possibility that strong fighters were eliminated in the first bouts was excluded.

  Sailing

Sailing competitions in each class consisted of 6 or 7 races. In each race, the athletes began to swim with a general start. The winner of each race was the crew, the first to cross the finish line. The number of points going to the overall standings, determined on the basis of the place occupied by the team. In the final scoring, the worst result shown by the crew in one of the races was not taken into account. The team that scored the least amount of points became an Olympic champion.
