Vladimir Karlovich Kantor (born March 30, 1945 , Moscow , USSR ) is a Russian philosopher, writer , literary scholar . Doctor of Philosophy ( 1988 ), ordinary professor of philosophy at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow (HSE) .

Biography
Son K.M. Cantor and brother M.K. Cantor . He graduated from the philological faculty of Moscow State University ( 1969 ), then graduated from the Institute of Art History ( 1973 ). Since 1974, he has been working in the journal Voprosy Filosofii , and is currently a member of the editorial board. Since 2003 - Professor, Department of Philosophy, Scientific Research University - Higher School of Economics (HSE).
Heinrich Böll Foundation Literary Fellowship (1992) . According to the famous French magazine Le Nouvel Observateur ( 2005 ), V. Cantor is on the list of twenty-five major thinkers of the modern world ( “25 grands penseurs du monde entier” ) [1] [2] [3] . Twice winner of the Golden HSE Prize (2009 and 2013) at the Higher School of Economics for achievements in science. Its texts are translated into English, German, French, Italian, Czech, Polish, Serbian, Estonian.
