Career
Niklas Andersen began his professional career in 2005 as a member of the club of the Swedish Elite Series “Lexand”, speaking before that for his farm club. In his debut season, Niklas spent 11 matches on the site without gaining a single point in them. The following year, in the NHL draft, he was selected in round 4 under a general 114 number by the Los Angeles Kings club [1] . In the 2006/07 season, in which Leksand played already in the league with a lower rank, Andersen took part in 35 matches, having chalked up 5 (0 + 5) scoring points.
On April 24, 2007, Niklas signed a two-year contract with Brunes . In his new club, Niklas managed to gain a foothold as one of the main defenders, having played 107 matches in two years and scored 14 (1 + 13) points, as a result of which the Brunes leadership decided to extend the agreement with the player for another two seasons, without waiting expiration of the previous contract. Over the next two years, Andersen continued his successful performances for the club, scoring 14 (7 + 7) points in 98 meetings, and on April 5, 2011, he entered into a new agreement with Brunes. The 2011/12 season was very successful for both Niklas himself and his team - Brunes 13 years later became the country's champion again, and Andersen chalked up 11 (2 + 9) points in 71 matches.
On June 6, 2012, Niklas decided to leave Sweden and sign a two-year contract with Cherepovets Severstal [2] .
