Division History
Formed in July 1914 from the personnel of the 47th Infantry Division . It became part of the 4th Army of the South-Western Front. 09/18/1914 subordinate to the commander of the formed blockade army. Included in the 29th army corps of the Southwest Front.
The 80th Infantry Division, which was part of the XXX Corps in Volyn and in Romania, fought well. The same can be said about General Promtovβs 82nd Infantry Division, which had at first a hitch in the Lublin battles, reflected the last sortie of the Przemysl army and was very successful in the Bukovina campaign of 1916.

The 82nd artillery brigade was formed in July 1914 to mobilize in Saratov from a frame allocated by the 47th artillery brigade.
