Biography
In 1964 he graduated from Moscow State University .
In 1964-1965 he worked as a cartographic engineer at NRCI GUGK of the USSR .
1972 - candidate of geographical sciences.
In 1974-1977 - head of the sector of the State Center "Nature" GUGK USSR.
Since 1977 - head of the cartography laboratory of the Institute of Geography, USSR Academy of Sciences .
Rewards
- Henry Ford European Award for Preserving Cultural and Natural Heritage (1998).
- Prize of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for 1998 for the work “Scientific foundations and applied aspects of integrated mapping of cultural and natural heritage”.
