Story

From Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in the Moscow Region people fly to stay with their grandmother in the village: father, mother and six-year-old Pavlik. Grandmother and other villagers are shocked by the upbringing of the boy: he is incredibly erudite , thanks to the efforts of the pope, and very physically developed, thanks to the efforts of the mother. Learning about Pavlik’s strict schedule, the compassionate grandmother immediately lets him go for a walk. The boy, having decided to take a break from his parents, takes the bus and arrives in Moscow . There, on the street, he meets Sveta - a girl who becomes his “guardian” until his parents are spotted and becomes attached to her. Pavlik escapes from the police’s children’s room, where she took him, visits the Ostankino television center , because he heard that Sveta is going to shoot there and accidentally becomes the protagonist of a children's TV show. The broadcast is live , Pavlik’s parents see her, understand where to look for him, and rush to the capital.

When they reach the television center, the parents find out that the boy was taken by Sveta. But Sveta herself urgently needs to train in the pool, so she trusts Pavlik with her friend, Marina for a couple of hours, but the cunning boy escapes from her through the window. Having overheard the conversation of the policemen, he sneaks into their company car and arrives with them in the pool, to the Light. There he accepts an invitation to attend her birthday evening. Sveta informs the police that Pavlik is with her, law enforcement officers are looking for the boy’s parents rushing around the city to calm them, and they all meet at Svetin’s birthday. There, with a large number of guests, Pavlik claims that he wants to be an ordinary boy, not a scholar and not an athlete, that "he does not want to be an adult."
