Biography
Like Edmé 's older brother, Jacques-Philippe studied sculpture from his father, Jean-Baptiste Bouchardon . In the years 1730-35 served in the army, then was educated at the Paris School of Fine Arts . At the same time he helped his brother in his workshop.
In 1740, he accepted an invitation from the Swedish ambassador to Paris, Count Karl Tessin, to work in the Swedish capital on the sculptural decoration of the Royal Palace . For the palace chapel created internal reliefs and pulpit. In addition to decorative works, sculpted portraits of Swedish nobility.
In 1750–51 he visited Italy. He died in Stockholm on December 19, 1753 .
