Municipal formation “the city of Angarsk” (Angarsk municipal formation) is a city settlement in the Angarsk district of the Irkutsk region of the Russian Federation . The Angarsk municipality with the status of an urban settlement was established on December 31, 2004 by the Law of the Irkutsk Region [2] . It was part of the Angarsk municipality . In accordance with the Charter [3] the official name is the city of Angarsk.

Together with other municipalities of the Angarsk region, it was transformed from January 1, 2015 by the Law of the Irkutsk Region [4] into the Angarsk City District .

“... The starting point of the description is the point of intersection of the border of the Angarsk municipality and the border of the city of Angarsk (in the area of the highway Novosibirsk – Irkutsk), then in a southwest direction along the border of the Angarsk municipality to the border of the territory of the Lonely municipality, then in a southeast direction along the specified border to the intersection with the border of the territory of the Megeti municipality, then in the north and then in the southeast directions along the specified border to the border of the Angarsk munits pal'nite education, then in a northwesterly direction along the boundary of the municipality of Angarsk to the starting point of the description. " [5] .
