Biography

Born on August 19, 1913 in a peasant family. Russian He graduated from elementary school.

He served in the Red Army from 1931 to 1933 . On the fronts of World War II since July 1941 . In 1942 he graduated from junior lieutenant courses.

The mortar battery commander, Lieutenant Petrishchev, distinguished himself in battles for the Dnieper . On September 25, 1943, the 605th Infantry Regiment began forcing the Dnieper in the vicinity of the village of Staro-Glybov, Kozeletsky District, Chernihiv Region . The battery of S. I. Petrishchev with its fire contributed to the consolidation of the regiment on the right bank of the river.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated November 17, 1943, Lieutenant Petrishchev Sergey Ivanovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .

S.I. Petrishchev died in January 1945 . He was buried in Leningrad.
