National Joint Aerospace University

The Consortium of Aerospace Universities of Russia “National United Aerospace University” is an association without a legal entity established in 2012 on the basis of the Association of Aerospace Universities of Russia “National United Aerospace University” which included nine educational institutions ( Voenmekh , KAI , MATI , MAI , RGATU , SSAU , SUAI , Siberian State University , USATU ) [1] . In 2014, UlSU became a member. In 2015, MATI was attached to the MAI. In 2017, the structure included SPbGMTU and SPbPU .

The association was created with the aim of integrating educational institutions in the research field, arranging the training of highly qualified specialists in the aerospace industry and attracting foreign partners [2] [3] .

Currently, the consortium is not active.

Content

Consortium Objectives

The consortium was created with the aim of:

  • coordination of efforts to create a single collective system for generating new knowledge, disseminating and using them in the interests of educational institutions, creating and transferring new products and technologies to the aerospace industry;
  • improving the efficiency and quality of the educational process based on the continuity of state educational standards and training programs in educational institutions at all levels of education, developing a system of specialized training at the senior levels of general education by using the methodological, scientific, personnel and information potential of higher education institutions and science - members of the Consortium ;
  • ensuring the adaptation of educational institutions and their graduates to the social, economic and cultural needs of society and changes in the labor market;
  • involvement in the educational, scientific and innovative processes of the faculty, researchers, doctoral students, graduate students, students and other students;
  • increasing the efficiency of using intellectual, material and information resources in the training of specialists and conducting scientific research in priority areas of development of education, science, culture, technology and the social sphere;
  • creating conditions and opportunities for the implementation of major programs and projects of an educational, economic, social and technological nature, enhancing research and innovation;
  • increasing the role of educational institutions in the socio-economic, technological, educational and cultural development of the respective regions.

Consortium Tasks

The creation of the Consortium of Aerospace Universities of Russia pursued a number of goals aimed at strengthening relations between universities of aerospace specialization and improving educational activities through the exchange of scientific and teaching experience and resources. Among the tasks of the consortium are:

  • Integration of training and scientific activity through the use of the available results of scientific activity in the learning process and the establishment of close ties between participants, as well as partner organizations of participants;
  • Creation of a unified information environment in educational and scientific activities, laboratories and an experimental base for training specialists, including the creation of basic departments at enterprises;
  • Implementation of joint innovative activities, sports, cultural, advertising events, publishing;
  • Creation of a unified system of training, retraining and advanced training;
  • Attraction of financial and intangible resources for educational activities, fundamental research and development;
  • Establishment of interaction with executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and industry, development of inter-regional relations, development of recommendations for solving socio-economic and technical and technological problems of regions and industries;
  • Development of international relations in order to establish academic exchanges and to implement joint innovative projects;
  • Protection of intellectual property rights.
