About the album
The name of the album is obtained by adding the words “jazz” ( Polish. Jazz ) and part from “resurrection” ( Polish. Resurekcja ). The collection includes 22 tracks. Video clips [1] [2] were shot for the songs “Odzyskamy Hip Hop” and “Komix”. In 2009, the second version of the album was released, in which the songs were recorded on three phonograph records.
Rewards and places on the charts
In the first week after the release of the album "Jazzurekcja" took fifth place in the official music chart of Poland [3] . In total, more than 12 thousand copies of the album were sold [4] . Music critics noted that this Ostrovsky album, like the previous one, is filled with jazz music in addition to hip-hop. Janek Petkevich, columnist for the cultural magazine Lampa , wrote in his review that the album “Jazzurekcja” turned out to be much more diverse than the previous “Jazz w wolnych chwilach”; there is a lot of dynamic and aggressive music in it, and the lyrics, as usual, express disappointment with reality [5] .
