Nokia 1011 - the first GSM phone released in mass production. It was also sold under the name Mobira Cityman 2000. The date of issue of the phone is November 10, 1992, [1] which is reflected by the numbers 10.11 in its name.

The phone was produced in black with dimensions 195 x 60 x 45 mm . Also, the phone had a monochrome display and a retractable antenna. Phone memory allows you to save 99 numbers in a notebook. The phone did not have a Nokia ringtone - “ Nokia tune ” (it was introduced only in 1994 ). The price of the phone was about 2500 German marks. [2]
The phone is capable of sending and receiving SMS messages, although Nokia itself claims that the Nokia 2110 was the first phone capable of this. Nokia 1011 was produced until 1994, then Nokia 2110 was introduced as a successor.
