History

The club was founded as a youth club, but soon began to compete in the adult league. Their first real success came in 1940, when they won the Cup final by defeating Maccabi ( Tel Aviv ) 3-1 in the final. Two years later, they won the cup again at Maccabi ( Haifa ) (12: 1).

The club again made its way to the final in 1947, MacVabi Tel Aviv was a contender, but the match was stopped with the score 3: 2, and Maccabi received a technical victory.

Beitar Tel Aviv was one of the founding clubs of the Israeli league in 1949, taking sixth place out of 13 in the 1949–50 season. Despite the fact that the club finished second from 1953–54, the club avoided relegation, as the top division was expanded to 14 teams. The following season, they took the 5th place, with Nisim Elmaliya, the best scorer of the division, who scored 30 goals. Despite only 7th place out of 12 in 1955–56, two players in the “Beitar” were given the title of top scorers: Abraham Levi and Michael Mikhailovsky with 16 goals each.

In 1960–61, the club finished the season at the bottom of the standings and was transferred to Liga Alef. They remained in the second division until 1964, when they were promoted in the class as champions. After the end of the championship in 1964–65 at a distance of one position from the relegation zone, Beitar was demoted again after the end of the championship at the bottom of the tournament table a year later. However, they returned in 1969 as League Aleph winners.

The club reached the Cup final of the country for the fourth time in 1977, but lost 1: 0 to Maccabi Tel Aviv.

After several years in the middle of the table, in the early 1980s, the club rode the table like a yo-yo . Having dropped in 1980, the club was promoted in 1981, but flew out the very next season, and then returned in 1983. Two years later, the club flew again before finally gaining a foothold in the top division.

The 1988–89 season was even better for the club in the top division (fourth place), this result was improved two years later, when third place was achieved.

The 1992–93 season brought another departure, and the next - an immediate return. Departure in 1995-96 was final for them. At the end of the 1998–99 season, they were transferred to the third division. At the end of the 1999–2000 season, the club was united with other clubs from the Artzit League - Shimshon, Tel Aviv. The new club was named Beitar Tel Aviv Ramla .

Currently, the club also represents the city of Ramle and performs in the League of Leumit .
