The pink-headed ringed parrot [1] ( lat. Psittacula roseata ) is a bird of the parrot family. Some taxonomists distinguish this parrot as an independent species, but most still consider it a subspecies of the bald-headed parrot .

The length of the body is 30–35 cm. It is very similar in color to the parakeet. The main color of the plumage is green. The male’s head is pale pink, gray-blue with a black border around the edges. The female has a blue-gray head. On the folds of the wings brown-red spots.
It lives in India , in the states of Bengal and Assam .
They inhabit wooded areas, but are also found in cultural landscapes. Large populations in nature do not form.
Calm, unshaky birds. The males sing pretty nicely. Young birds quickly become accustomed to humans, but the ability to learn human speech in these parrots has not been noted.
