AppearanceBody length 40-50 cm, tail 28 cm. The main color of the plumage is green. The forehead and bridle are black, the top of the head is bluish-black. From the bottom of the beak on the sides of the head - a wide black stripe. The neck and chest are blue-gray. The tail feathers are blue-gray from above, blue-green from below. In the male, the upper part of the beak is red, the black mandible. In females, the entire beak is black.
SpreadIt is found in southwestern China, including southeastern Tibet , and adjacent areas of northeastern India.
LifestyleIt is inhabited by high rainforest and wooded areas of highlands to an altitude of 4000 m above sea level. Keep in small flocks or family groups. They feed on seeds, fruits, nuts and vegetative parts of plants.
