History
In 1966, by a decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the RSFSR, the village of branch No. 3 of the Stavropolsky state farm was renamed Vidny [3] .
Until 2017 [4], the village of Vidny was part of the territory of the rural settlement of the Stavropol village council of the Blagodarnensky district of the Stavropol Territory [5] .
