Biography
Born on June 14, 1930 in Vitebsk , Belarusian SSR [1] .
In 1953 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Molotov State University named after A. M. Gorky [1] . He worked as a legal adviser in the regional department of agriculture, and also taught philosophy, scientific atheism and ethics in Perm higher educational institutions. At the same time, by its own admission, “ traveled almost all of the Kama region with lectures on atheistic and moral topics. Often traveled to other regions of a huge country ” [2] .
In 1954 - 1961 - teacher of philosophy and scientific atheism at Molotov (Perm) University [1] .
In 1964 he graduated from the graduate school of philosophy at Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov . [1] [2] Together with M. G. Pismanik, A. A. Guseinov , Z. A. Tazhurizina , V. V. Konev, Yu. M. Pavlov, V. S. Glagolev and N. S. studied in graduate school . Kapustin [2] . Matvey Grigoryevich on this occasion notes: “With deep gratitude I recall the frequent discussions about religion and morality with“ classmates ”on graduate school, who have become leading scientists” [2] .
In 1964, at Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, under the leadership of S. F. Anisimov, defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of philosophical sciences on the topic "Religion and Woman" [1] [2] [3] . Regarding the topic of the dissertation, Matvey Grigoryevich notes: “ Having serious developments on the problems of religious morality, I asked to approve them with the topic of my dissertation. But at the meeting of the department, its head professor I. D. Pantskhava insisted on the topic “Religion and Woman” ”, as well as“ numerous religious observations, meetings and conversations with the clergy and believers, as well as the participation in religious studies contributed to participation in the first organized by the department in the summer of 1964 field expedition in Kazakhstan to study modern sectarianism. In the same year, he completed his postgraduate studies with early defense of his dissertation ” [2] .
After graduate school he returned to Perm , where until today he has been conducting classes in philosophy, religious studies, sociology and ethics. [2]
In 1964-1981 , he was a senior lecturer, associate professor , professor of the Department of Philosophy of the Perm State Polytechnic Institute [1] .
In 1977, at Moscow State University. MV Lomonosov defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy on the topic "Overcoming individual religiosity in a developed socialist society" [1] [3] .
In 1981-1983 , he was a professor at the Department of Philosophy at Charles University ( Prague , Czechoslovakia ) [1] (“on a business trip from the Ministry of Higher Education” [2] ).
Since 1983 - professor at the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies of the Humanities Faculty of Perm State Technical University [1] .
Since 2010 - Professor, Department of Cultural Studies, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Perm State Institute of Art and Culture [4] .
Wife - Lyubov Isaakovna, doctor; children: Lyudmila Geller (b. 1958) and Ilya Pismanik (1966-2009), lawyers [5] .
Scientific activity
By his own admission, M. G. Pismanik believes that “ My main scientific interests are addressed to the problems of philosophy, sociology and psychology of religion; to questions of methodology of scientific research; to the problems of ethics and cultural studies. ” [2] . Regarding scientific achievements, he says that “I have obtained some useful results in developing a metatheory of religious studies, enriching its paradigms and updating the conceptual framework; clarifying the specifics of religious morality and substantiating the status, paradigm and categorical apparatus of the ethics of non-violence as a new direction in science; theoretical and methodological substantiation of dialogue and cooperation between domestic secular scientists and theologians on pressing problems of overcoming the spiritual crisis in post-Soviet society; theoretical and methodological substantiation of the pressing problems of the formation of the national secular school ” [2] .
Since 1963, Matvey Grigoryevich conducted major sociological studies in the Perm Territory . The theme of these events is “an analysis of the dynamics and forecast of religious processes in the region; study of the evolution and social adaptation of “new religions”; pressing problems of state-confessional relations; processes of becoming a secular school; issues of introducing tolerance in the Perm region ” [2] .

M. G. Pismanik took part in the II Russian scientific-practical conference “Religion in a Changing Russia” (Perm, May 11-12, 2004) held under the auspices of the Perm State Technical University (Faculty of Humanities, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies); Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences ; Perm Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences ; Russian Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (Department of Religious Studies); Russian Association of Researchers of Religion [6] .
M. G. Pismanik took part in the All-Russian scientific conference “Secular-religious interaction in a changing Russia” held on October 6-7, 2004 at the Belgorod State University under the auspices of the Federal Agency for Education , Belgorod State University , Russian Association of Religion Researchers , Russian Society of Sociologists , where he made a report "On the cooperation of religious scholars and theologians in the study of religion" [7] .
M. G. Pismanik took part in the III All-Russian Sociological Congress "Globalization and Social Change in Modern Russia", which took place on October 3 - 5, 2006, at the sociological faculty of Moscow State University. MV Lomonosov , where he made a report on the theme "Believers of the Perm Territory" [8] .
M. G. Pismanik took part in a conference organized by the Russian Academy of Public Administration (RAGS) under the President of the Russian Federation (Department of State-Confessional Relations), the Center for the Study of Religion of the Russian State Humanitarian University , the Foundation for Christian Entrepreneurs, the International Center for the Study of Law and Religion (USA) , where he made a report on the topic "Actual problems and prospects of Russian religious studies" [9] .
Under the scientific supervision of M. G. Pismanyk, 14 candidate and one doctoral dissertations were prepared and defended [2] .
