History

The village of Chograysky was founded in October 1927 on the site of the small farms of Sidorenko, Dudkin, Dubinin, Shornikov, Kuyantsev, Gadan, and other settlers from the village of Arzgir . In a short time, a club, canteen, shop, medical center, primary school were built. In 1954, a detachment of mechanized mechanics arrived in the village for permanent residence, in 1961 - families of immigrants from Turkey [5] .

In 1927-30 he was called the farm of the joint-stock company Turksad.

In the years 1930-37 - State Farm "Sheep".

In the years 1937-40 - 5th farm farm "Turksad."

In 1940-95, the central manor of the Arzgirskiy ovtsovkhoz No. 3, which went bankrupt in 1995.

For March 1, 1966 was a part of the Sadovsky village council with the center in the village Sadovo [6] .

In 1972, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the settlement number 3 of the state farm Arzgirsky was renamed Chograysky [7] . The name of the village is associated with the construction of the Chohrai reservoir . The construction of the reservoir, the commissioning of irrigated land, the construction of water lines, asphalt concrete roads in the 1970s triggered the development of the village [5] .

As of January 1, 1983, it was the administrative center of the Chogray Village Council, which included the villages of Dovsun and Chograi [8] .
