Located in the northwest of the Volozhinsky district. From the administrative center of the village council - the agricultural town of Bogdanov to the regional center - the city of Volozhin 32 km. Through the territory of the village council flows the Olshanka River, which is a tributary of the Berezina River. On the territory of the village council is the Bogdanov railway station on the Molodechno - Lida branch.

History
On October 12, 1940, the Voishtovichsky and Ignatovsky village Soviets were formed (they were part of the Baranovichi region ). From June 1941 to July 1944, due to the occupation of the territory of the BSSR by the Nazi invaders, the Voishtovichi and Ignatovsky village councils temporarily suspended their activities.
On July 16, 1954, after the unification of the Voyshtovichskigo and Ignatovsky village councils, the Bogdanovsky Village Council was formed with its center in the agricultural town of Bogdanov .
Mazalo Ivan Gerasimovich was elected the first chairman of the Bogdanovsky village council, Ruto Valentina Lukinichna was the secretary.
