It is a part of the Sudsky rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of administrative-territorial division - into the Sudsky village council.
The distance by road to the regional center of Cherepovets is 46 km, to the center of the municipal entity Sudy is 7 km. The nearest settlements are Maloye Novo , Bolshoye Novo , Leontievka .
According to the 2002 census, the population was 184 people (83 men, 101 women). The predominant nationality is Russians (97%) [2] .
