It is a part of the Sudsky rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of administrative-territorial division - into the Sudsky village council.
The distance by road to the district center of Cherepovets is 47 km, to the center of the municipal entity Sudy - 5 km. The nearest populated areas are Malyi Istok , Bolshoe Novo , Leontievka .
According to the 2002 census, the population was 107 (48 men, 59 women). The predominant nationality is Russians (96%) [2] .
