It is part of the Abakanovsky rural settlement [1] , in terms of administrative-territorial division - in the Abakanovsky village council.
The distance by road to the district center of Cherepovets is 53 km, to the center of the municipality of Abakanovo - 10 km. The nearest settlements are Shuklino , Zhdanovskaya , Yartsevo .
According to the 2002 census, the population is 46 people (21 men, 25 women). The predominant nationality is Russians (91%) [2] .
Hero of the Soviet Union Peter Kostromtsov was born in the village.
