Asaf Avidan ( Hebrew אסף אבידן; born March 23, 1980 ) is an Israeli folk rock musician and composer. Such artists as Bob Dylan , Janice Joplin and Led Zeppelin had a great influence on his work. . Until 2012, he collaborated with the Israeli folk rock band the Mojos.

Biography
Born in Jerusalem in 1980. Since his parents were diplomats at the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Asaf spent 4 years of his childhood in Jamaica. After completing his service in the Israeli army, doctors discovered he had lymphoma , but medicine soon coped with this ailment. He graduated from the Israeli Academy of Arts with a degree in animation, and worked for him in Tel Aviv . At that time, music was just a hobby for him, but under the influence of separation from his lover, this hobby grew into a constant kind of his activity.
Asaf Avidan & The Mojos
In the songs of Avidan, the listener immediately draws attention to his voice, since he possesses the tenor altino . For this reason, he is often compared to Janice Joplin and Robert Plant , who actually influenced his work. In 2006, Asaf recruited musicians and named his band The Mojos . The Reckoning album, released in 2008, includes 15 songs with blues and folk elements with Avidan lyrics about cheating and relationships. The album became platinum and the best-selling album in Israeli history. Avidan also shot a video for the song “Weak” from this album, which became the best video clip of the year in Israel. Avidan began to become very popular among both Israeli and European youth. A year later, the album Poor Boy / Lucky Man was released , after which Avidan and Mojos began to be invited to various concerts and tours, which lasted until 2011. Asaf during this period gave concerts not only in Israel and Europe, but also in the USA, Canada, China and even in India. The album also went gold in Israel. In 2010, the third album Through the Gale was released , becoming the last joint album with As Mohos Asaf Avidan. At the beginning of 2012, members of The Mojos parted and everyone began to engage in their own projects.
Different Pulses
In the summer of 2012, Asaf released the album Different Pulses. He distinguished himself by a new, previously unused sound and style. Asaf decided to experiment with sound, and he succeeded, like no one before. Folk and soul are mixed in this album, but with electronic elements.
