A holding is a structure of commercial organizations that includes a parent company and a network of small subsidiaries that it controls. The parent company owns a controlling stake , while subsidiaries distribute the remaining shares among themselves.

Holding History
The Sheriff company was founded on June 24, 1993 . In 1996, the Sheriff supermarket chain was opened. On April 4, 1997, the Sheriff Sports Club was founded. Sturgeon complex “Aquatir”
Akvatir LLC, the main owner of which is the holding of trading and manufacturing companies Sheriff, is an enterprise for growing sturgeon fish and producing natural black caviar of sterlet , bester and Russian sturgeon using technologies in the field of sturgeon breeding that meet international environmental standards. The complex is also engaged in industrial processing and sale of sturgeon and other types of fish and seafood [46] .
The design capacity of the sturgeon complex leaves 50-80 tons of marketable fish and 5 tons of food caviar per year, but the productivity of the fish processing workshop is up to 500 tons of fish products per year. Aquatir LLC is registered as an exporter of products from endangered animals in accordance with the international CITES Convention ( Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora ), and since 2011 is a member of NACEE (network of centers aquaculture in Central and Eastern Europe ). The enterprise management system is certified by the German certification company TUV THURINGEN for compliance with international standards ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 22000: 2005.
