In 1643, the Battle of Orbulak , in which the Zhangir Sultan with 600 selected warriors led by Karasai Batyr, defeated the 50,000th Dzungarian army. Zhalantos Bahadur with a 20-thousand army came to the aid of the batyrs of Zhangir. This is also evidenced by Russian sources [1] .

In the work of P. Rumyantsev, “Materials of the Semirechensk region,” it is indicated: “The population of the West Kastek region is made up of descendants of Karasai Batyr from the genus Shaprashty. Now the genus Karasai lives on the territory of the Akmola region . The grave of Karasay is located in the area of Aiyrtau, Kokchetav district . ” This story is reliable, since Kulshynbai-tobe, where Karasai and Agyntay Batyrs were buried, is located in the spurs of Aiyrtau. At this place in May 2002, a two-domed structure was erected [1] .
Karasai Batyr had 6 sons: Auez, Turkpen, Otep, Cats, two younger sons Erken and Torken died in the North Kazakhstan region without leaving offspring, in this battle Karasai himself was seriously wounded and passed away before reaching 40 days. ..
