The Americanoid race is a race common in the Americas [1] . Americanoids are characterized by straight black hair, weak hair growth on the face and body, dark skin, medium protruding straight, and sometimes βaquilineβ nose . The eyes are black, with small eyelashes, wider than that of the Asian Mongoloids . Epicanthus is relatively rare in adults, although it is quite common in children. Face with significant prominence of cheekbones. The growth of americanoids is different.

Subtypes
The darkest skin is found in the Indians of Arizona and California . Sometimes they distinguish the Paleo-American type, whose representatives live in some areas of the Amazon and Tierra del Fuego - in the very south of the continent. Their characteristic features are dolichokephaly , wavy or even curly hair (for example, in the Bakairi tribe), short stature. In some groups, increased beard growth (for example, in the Siriono tribe).
Of particular interest among the South American Indians are the groups of Patagonia , which have now practically disappeared. An essential feature of this Patagonian minor race was its very high growth. They were also distinguished by a straight nose, brachycephaly , a quadrangular cheekbone face with a wide lower jaw , and dark brown skin.
Americanoids and Mongoloids
The traditional point of view linking the Americanoids with the Mongoloids is opposed by the sum of facts reflecting the great peculiarity of the anthropological composition of the population of the New World, sufficient to distinguish them into an autonomous "large" race, consisting of very diverse anthropological variants. The heterogeneity of the indigenous pre-European population of the New World is not in good agreement with the hypothesis of the "American homotype", derived from one small population, accepted by many researchers. The high degree of differentiation of americanoids at the time of the arrival of Europeans indicates a heterogeneous anthropological composition of waves of migrants who first came to the New World, and / or significant antiquity of the indigenous population of America [2] .
