William Thomas Blanford (also Blanford ; English William Thomas Blanford ) (1832-1905) - English geologist and zoologist, specialist in terrestrial mollusks and vertebrates, president of the London Geological Society (1888), Royal Society of London (1874) , for research on zoology and geology of British India, was awarded the Wollaston Medal (1883) and the Royal Medal (1901). Brother of Henry Francis Blanford (1834-1893).
