Design
The satellite’s body has a cylindrical shape with a diameter of 2.1 m and a height of 4.5 m. Stabilization is provided by rotation at a speed of 100 rpm.
The equipment consists of two cameras in the visible and infrared ranges, as well as a water vapor sensor.
Launch
Fengyun-2F was launched on January 13, 2012 by the Great March-3A rocket into geostationary orbit. The orbital mass of the device was 536 kg. The estimated life is three years.
